This is what I've been up to
4th February 2019 is the last time I logged in on my website to jot down some thoughts and share them online as I've been doing for the past 7 years or so. Up until last year, I used to log in and touch base at least once a week and whilst on facebook I still do scribble what I'm going through and post on a regular basis (too much, I know, and I apologise for bugging you this much!), I have to admit that my online blog hasn't been given the priority it deserves, perhaps.
I've been all over the place I guess, doing a zillion things, some of which have turned out to be quite rewarding! Actually, I look back and wonder how I managed to do it all in such a short period of time!
I returned from India and had no clue what hit me for a whole month or so. It was all feeling surreal and hollow for me and I was almost hating it here. I was trying to remind myself that I had known from day 1 that I would never be able to change the life of the kids I would have met, but rather make it better for a short period of time by giving them MY ALL. A month after that, I received a phone call re a TV programme on national TV which needed a co-host and I found a talented, patient someone who gave me some much needed training. I had never done anything of the sort back then, and today I still cringe (and facepalm) thinking about me confidently saying YES to it without realising what a shocking (still amazing, mind you!) experience being on live TV for 9 whole months on "90 Minuta" was!
In the meantime I also got to do some of what I love doing most - TRAVEL. Barcelona, Rome, Milan, London and Slovenia to mention a few. I tried to make the most of it, even though it turned out to be difficult for me to enjoy it to the full at times. I'm always trying to be better, learn more, meet new people and make new friends. I'm somehow always trying to dream bigger whilst I'm still trying to make a dream come true... (and trust me, this is not always the healthiest approach to it all).
Upon my return from Milan Fashion Week, someone approached me to see whether I was interested in hosting this prestigious award night at MCC. Was I interested? Of course. Was I terrifed of even thinking about it, let alone do it?! Hell, YES! To cut a long story short, 24th May saw me doing something which gave me so much adrenaline and hype! Together with two great presenters, I faced my fears and presented the MFA Awards night which turned out to be one hell of a show! I sometimes look at some of the recordings of the show which my friends sent me and almost don't recognize the persistent, convinced person I see looking back at me from that stage.
Those who know me well know that I'm not one to take credit for anything or boast in any way. I just wrote the above FOR ME, because I needed to, today more than ever.
Next time round I promise you I will draft something about RADIO, the latest experience I've embarked on. So if you feel like, stay tuned! ;)
