River Island goes Xemxija ;)

I'm usually all for pretty, feminine dresses and frilly shirts or skirts, but in summer all I feel like wearing are denim shorts!! If they're high-waisted and ripped, that's even better!

High-waisted trousers (and now shorts) have been the latest trend ever since the winter season, but I guess I've always been into high-waisted bottoms. When I was still at Junior College (decades ago. I know), I had one boyfriend who used to find my wearing high-waisted shorts amusing! ''Mum used to wear those'', he used to tell me, ''go for the fitted, sexy ones'' he used to encourage me. I know there's no need for me to tell you that I spent those 2 summers with him wearing my high-waisted shorts almost every day! ;) Yeah, I can be stubborn.

The denim shorts I've been wearing almost day-in day-out lately are a pair I spotted at River Island. They're slightly baggy (not too much) and whilst being ripped, they still do quite a good job in covering the bum area. If I'm going out, I love to pair them with plain tops and statement shoes or gladiator sandals. Else, it's usually just a t-shirt and flip-flops.

Some photos sporting my beloved denim shorts? Here goes ;)
