Cellini is a  wine bar & bistro situated in the heart of the village of Naxxar, Malta.  The wine bar has a cosy, warm glow to it, which makes you feel welcome immediately whilst looking forward to treat yourself to a good bottle of wine.

In a number of my blogs I've mentioned how my 27 years of age are now taking over, in a way that I tend to prefer relaxed outings and events over the wild partying which a lot of my friends seem to prefer. This makes wine-bar-trips a more frequent event and thus wine bar nights are something which I've recently gotten the hang of quite well :)

So after being greeted by the winebar's manager, we sat down and took in the classical, elegantly-themed bistro. An idea of the ambiance can be found on the bistro's website http://www.celliniwinebar.com/index.htm, but the gallery's pictures don't do the place any justice because one has to experience the beauty and majesty of the place in person I guess.  A very young waitress came with the menus and I started going through the selected range of wines, many of which I've never gotten a glimpse of in other wine bars.  The food menu offers a selection of nibbles, platters and a number of other tempting dishes. We made our choice: a young Sicilian wine and a mixed platter accompanied by a genuine (and, might I add tasty) olive dip. And the night rolled on, under the effect of a unique ambiance, great company and ultra pleasant wine and food which lighten up one's mood (and minds! :))

The staff was mostly friendly and polite and the price range is more than affordable, adding to the already marvellous experience. If you were to ask me I'd try Cellini, and the sooner the better! You'll probably find yourself visiting over and over again. And for those benefiting of the locally-popular Gusto card,  the related discounts apply.

"Wine is constant proof that God loves us and loves to see us happy". So let's drink to that. At Cellini!
